Pupil Deprivation Grant (PDG)

At Marshfield School the total number of pupils on school roll for September 2014 was 409, with under 10% of our pupils in receipt of Free School Meals. The school’s FSM population is the same as for the previous year. The total allocation of PDG to this school for this year is £11,016  

Marshfield  School undertakes the following activities in order to support pupils facing the challenges of poverty and deprivation:

  • Training & monitoring of AfL marking (high quality feedback marking)  to support PDG pupils to achieve their “next steps

  • Employ teaching assistant to deliver intervention programmes for PDG pupils

  • Further training for teachers and TAs on intervention strategies for PDG pupils to be delivered through Provision Mapping

  • Training for staff on “Assessment Manager” software to help track progress of PDG pupils

  • ipad training for staff to maximise effectiveness of ipads being used as a teaching resource for  PDG pupils

  • Attendance Team set up to support monitoring of attendance of PDG pupils

  • PASS survey purchased to evaluate wellbeing of PDG pupils
